Gold and Silver Table

For so long many people have been hesitant to mix silver and gold together; there were worries it would clash or look tacky but rest assured it can be a wonderful combination.

For this table we started with a 6 foot banquet table and draped it with a 90 x 156 champagne sequin linen.  Since the linen is longer than the table we used a small binder clip behind the scenes to create a beautiful swag on the ends.  Using binder clips or rubber bands behind linens that may be too big is a great way to shorten the linen and create a swag detail at the same time.  You can also use that same idea on a cloth that does fit the table correctly to create beautiful swagging and to showcase an under cloth as well.

To help give this table an elegant yet fun setting we ran two charcoal majestic runners horizontally across the table essentially breaking up the sequined surface into thirds.  Then we ran a silver lace runner vertically to finish the look off.  The charcoal runners created perfect place settings, creating an intimate and elegant table for four.  We wanted the centerpiece of this table to be uncluttered yet elegant to match the table.  The deco vase was a perfect choice!  It has clean lines with an interesting design.  We also added two square mirror tiles, two rose gold votive cups and some "diamond" baubles.  The place settings are also elegant and simple.  Silver charger plates and white imperial china set the table with a rosette pouf napkin in a pewter color.

To finish the look we simply had to use the crystal chiavari chairs with charcoal majestic runners.  The runners are draped over the chair and tied in a rosette pouf in the back.

This was our most commented on table, everyone who came in just loved the simple yet elegant look.
