Christmas Tree Napkin Fold

Every year around this time we try to in-cooperate this fold into one table setting and it never fails that it is the napkin fold that gets the most attention.  We hope you enjoy this fun element to your holiday table as well!

Start with a square napkin laid flat.

Fold the napkin in half to create a rectangle.

Fold the napkin in half again to create a square - rotate the square until the raw edges are facing you.

Fold the first layer of the napkin up to the corner.

Fold the second layer up towards the first leaving about an inch between the top corners.

Fold the third layer up leaving about an inch of space again.

Fold the fourth layer up leaving space as before, it will look like a pyramid.

Carefully flip the napkin over making sure to hold on to the folds.

Fold over the right side of the napkin creating a triangle shape at the top.

Fold the left side of the napkin over the right side keeping the triangle shape at the top.

Carefully flip the napkin over again, hold tight so it doesn't unfold.

Fold the top layer up to form the peak of the tree.

Fold the second layer up and gently tuck it under the first layer.

Fold up the third layer and tuck under the second layer.

Fold up the fourth layer and tuck under the third layer.

Fold up the thicker bottom and tuck under the fourth layer.  Fluff and adjust layers as needed.
And there you have it - the Christmas tree fold!  Will you be using this fold for your holiday meals this year?  Let us know in the comments below :)
