Diamond Napkin Fold

This napkin fold is very easy to create and fairly forgiving if the napkin is not a true square.

Start with a flat napkin.

Fold napkin in half to create a rectangle.

Fold in half again to create a square.  Orient the loose ends to the upper left corner.

Start by folding the top most layer down diagonally to the bottom right corner.

Repeat with the next layer stopping slightly before the last fold to create an even, staggered effect.

Repeat with the next layer, staggering as before.

And finally one last time with the last layer.  Try to keep the spacing as uniform as possible.

Carefully flip the napkin over and fold the loose ends in a triangular shape.

Flip the napkin back over and adjust the sides as needed.
Are you planning an event that this napkin fold would look great with?  Let us know in the comments below :)
